Hello all my fellow Orlandians and to all you Orlandians for a few days. I have lived in Orlando for just two years and I am loving it. So many things to do. Theme Parks, Water Parks, Putt-Putt Golf and all the other great touristy stuff. But if you are on a budget( a very tight budget) I have pointers to save you money all over town. I know there are a million blogs devoted to saving money at the parks, so I will only go into that so much as I have found just a couple of ways to save a little there that I did not see on any of the big sites. there is no way to top Mousesavers.com , so I will leave Disney to the big boys.
Last night we had a group of 10 of us. We decided to try and find something fun to do that would not make us need to get a loan to eat today. Not much you can do cheap on a rainy night with 7 kids ranging in age from 10-15 locked up in a small apartment. ( and no they are not all mine just stray kids I pick off the streets) But I was determined to get my sanity and hearing back so I hit the computer. When the screaming got louder my fingers started typing faster. And then I found....the answer to my prayers. I swear I heard music....2 free games of bowling for every kid at AMF Lanes. So, I can't stop there that leaves 3 adults and shoes for 10. Hmmmm. Doable but I think I can do better. So I sign up for their e-club, and VIOLA my e-mail has a wonderful coupon for up to 10 people free. That's it I pile everyone into 2 cars and drive down. Total comes to $42. We spent a good 2 hours there.$2.10 an hour per person is a bargain in my book. They got to let off some steam and were at last tired when we got home.
AMF is having this deal all summer long. Parents sign up at www.amf.com. They get 2 free games a day. I signed up the extra kids under my account. This would also be a great idea for a birthday party. Just bring the cake and have all the kids bowl free. Kids are exhausted and get bored after 2 games anyway. Just steer them away from the game room and you should save a bundle over the price of paying to have the party there.
So that's my first pointer. I have tons of ways. We go out every week and we always save as much as we can. I'm known as the free lady because I get everyone free stuff all the time.
